Get Out the Party Poppers, I'm Starting to Feel HUMAN Again!

"CEEEEEEEELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, COME ON!"

For the last couple of days, I have begun to have some more energy, and I am loving it!

I am now 14 weeks and 3 days along, so it must be true what they say- between week 12 -14, you begin to feel a bit better.

Sure I'm still puking randomly and having cramps here and there (and let's not mention sodding heartburn!) but I no longer feel like a zombie, so have managed the odd walk with the dogs and a tiny bit more housework so feel more able to deal with it.

Think my bloke and mum will be most happy with this, as they have bore the brunt of my foul temper, laziness and up and down hormones. Many a time I have been crying, then laughing, then wailing again over the tiniest of things, and they have been the poor recipients!

No wonder mum's booked a trip to Canada in a few days time lol, and bloke is thinking of ways to hide in her suitcase!

Let's hope this energy burst continues for a few weeks, so I can finally start to look human again, my flat might be of a good hygienic standard again, and my family might finally remember why they love me again!

Will keep y'all posted.

Be great to hear how all you fellow preggers people are feeling at the moment- just click the comment button at the end of this post :)

  1. I didn't start to feel human until after week 16! I still feel nauseous at week 23, but nowhere near as bad. As for hormones, wow, where to start. I didn't have just plain old mood swings, I got a severe case of perinatal depression in the first and part of the second trimester- so bad that I was hospitalized for a week! I just couldn't think of any good reason why I was putting myself through all this torture! To bring yet another human being into an already overpopulated world? I felt absolutely NOTHING good about the pregnancy. Now in the later part of the second trimester when I'm not as sick, can feel baby kicking, and am on some effective anti-depressants, life is MUCH better, but I am right with you on pregnancy and pessimism going hand-in-hand!
